Two more people are now in custody in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
The arrests come after a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was among the injured in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been released.
Officers arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault close to the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Police were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several people injured by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.
The attack - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
